DR. MOSQUERA
Dr. Arturo F. Mosquera, D.M.D., M.S. has over 30 years of experience. He obtained his dental degree at the University of Florida in 1979 and then completed 2 years of specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Tennessee, considered one of the top programs in the nation, to earn his Masters of Science degree in 1982.
Dr. Mosquera is among the few orthodontists in the Miami area who are certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Mosquera has been actively involved in dental and orthodontic organizations in which he has held office including:

President of the Florida Association of Orthodontists, President of the South Florida Academy of Orthodontists, President of the South Florida Dental Association (Dade, Monroe, and South Broward), and Alternate Trustee and Delegate to the Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Mosquera has received many noteworthy awards, namely, The Outstanding Member Dentist of the South Florida Dental Association and the Honorary Fellowship in the Academy One Hundred from the University of Florida, in Recognition and Appreciation for Exceptional Contributions and Service to Dentistry and Dental Education.
He has also received numerous awards for his academic achievements including the Orange Key Honor Society University of Miami and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, which is the nation's oldest collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
Dr. Mosquera has 3 children with his wife, Liza.

Braces
Dr. Mosquera uses both ceramic and metal braces which straighten your teeth. He is experienced with a vast number of brace appliances. The choice of type of brace is selcted by the doctor on an individual basis. He tailors each treatment to obtain the best result for each patient.
Invisalign
Dr. Mosquera has used Invisalign, an alternative to conventional wire-and-bracket technology, from its inception. He has experience in simple and complex cases, including combined clear aligners with a limited number of hidden braces. Straighten your teeth with invisible aligners.
Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dr. Mosquera is a dentofacial orthopedic specialist and can provide treatments to correct the jaw and facial muscles to allow the permanent teeth to develop in the right place and allow the jaws to fit together correctly. Dentofacial orthopedics can have a positive change to the structure of the face and profile.
Corrective Jaw Surgery
Dr. Mosquera corrects facial and jaw bone abnormailities through orthognathic surgery. This option combines orthodontics with jaw surgery, balancing the face and the position of the teeth and bite. This treatment can also correct TMJ
and sleep apnea.
TMJ
Dr. Mosquera is an expert
in Temporomandibular Joint Disorder treatments. Treatment often includes facial muscle and jaw exercises, splints, and orthodontic treatment.
Complex Adult Restorative Periodontal Cases
Dr. Mosquera has vast experience handling various periodontal (loss of gum and/or bone) cases and patients who have lost multiple teeth. He works with other professionals to obtain the best results for his patients.
